LATEST: [1] Russia Today 22 July 2013: The House and Senate Intelligence Committees have given a green light to arm Syrian rebels,Scenarios outlined by Dempsey included: Train, Advise and Assist the Opposition; Conduct Limited Stand-off Strikes; Establish a No-Fly Zone; Establish Buffer Zones; Control Chemical Weapons. Dempsey reminded the committee that virtually every scenario “could also average well over one billion dollars a month” and could provide aid to al-Qaeda or other radical groups.

[2] The World Tribune 19 July 2013NATO has determined that President Bashar Assad, Iran, and Russia ended
any short- or mid-term threat from the Sunni revolt in Syria.

The officials said Assad’s military would capture major rebel strongholds with the exception of northern Syria by the end of 2013.
“Currently, the tide seems to have shifted in his [Assad] favor,” Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, said on July 18.

Officials said the assessment led to a decision by Britain, France and the United States to halt lethal weapons shipments to the Sunni rebels? They fear  weapons shipments could end up with Al Qaida militias.

The NATO assessment asserted that most of the Syrians involved in the revolt — including those in the Free Syrian Army — were no longer fighting the Assad regime, this being done by Al Qaida affiliated  foreigners.

[4] HAARETZ 18 July 2013 The Obama administration is deliberating whether to use military power in Syria. Gen. Martin Dempsey, said during congressional testimony that he has provided President Barack Obama with options for the use of force in Syria.

Dempsey added that the “issue is under deliberation inside of our agencies of government.
“We are ready to act if we’re called on to act,” Winnefeld said of planning for military action in Syria.

Leading senators have been pressing Obama to take a more forceful approach to defeat Assad’s forces.

[5] Sky News 18 July 2013: The outgoing head of the UK armed forces has warned:
“You have to be able, as we did successfully in Libya, to hit ground targets.”You have to establish a ground zone and take out their air defences and tanks. Gen Richards also said that British forces could also be sent to the country to prevent chemical weapons falling into the wrong hands.
His comment were backed by the Defence Secretary, Philip Hammond: “I think it’s very unlikely that we would see boots on the ground (in Syria). If we saw chemical weapons proliferate as a result of what is happening in Syria then we would have to act.”

Last week the Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC), warned Syria’s arsenal of chemical weapons could fall into the hands of al Qaeda militants if Mr Assad was toppled with potentially “catastrophic” consequences.

[6] Reuters  22 July 2013Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov issued a new call on Monday for the Syrian government and opposition to work together to expel all “terrorists and extremists from Syria”.

[7] Kerry

[8] Reuters 2 July 2013. U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry (right) said that he and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had made progress on plans to hold a Syria peace conference soon.

US Secretary of State John Kerry is a Skull and Bonesman. Such people are unscrupulous power-greedy one worldlers - like his rival and lodge brother in the US pres. election 2004, Bush jr - and Bush sr.

This is total chaos: NATO knows it and its western [9] bought and trained Al Qaeda/Al Nusra military opposition - which has been provided with poisonous gas - have  lost their[10] proxy war to oust Pres. Assad . NATO admits that few Syrians are fighting Assad ([11] 70% are for - only 10% against Assad).

Now  Al Qaeda serves as an excuse for the USA & Co not delivering promised weapons to their “Al Qaeda” allies (=[12] US-invented scapegoat phantom). Kerry´s talk of “progress” of the coming US-Russian-Syrian peace Conference is just another smoke screen: Such a conference would only be a humiliation for the US, which has lost all ground - and in particular for [13] J[13] ohn Kerry, who one month ago called for bombarding Syrian airfields. It could only accept a Russian-Assad diktat

But there are much stronger forces in play, [14] owning the US politicians. They will have the final say.
