President Klaus is faltering  - one day he [2] tells the Times that he will not sign the Lisbon Treaty - [3] a few days later he says the Treaty cannot be stopped.

This courageous man is the last honest European politician. He needs the support of the European basis, the common people, to strengthen him.

So, I entreat you, [4] sign this petition from [5] EU Reporter

President Klaus is our last hope to avoid the dictatorship ensuing from the self-amending Lisbon Treaty.

This is the only right given to the majority of the undemocratic EU to vote on that treaty. We must not empower that union further. In this desperate situation any one who does not support the petition supports the Lisbon Treaty.

See [6] my open letter to Pres. Klaus on 6 Oct., 2009.

If you are a blogger, please, pass this petition on.

By the way, [7] European Parliament 15 Oct. 2009: Citizens' initiative: If 1 million Europeans present a petition to the European Commission then it would have to look at ways of introducing the proposals. Alternatively it could force the Union's executive to look at ways of repealing legislation.
What about a petition to drop the Lisbon Treaty? No of course not! The commission would just have to look at ways - will certainly not find any in any case. This is mock-democracy.
