US Recognizes, EU Embraces Foreign, Unelected Al Qaeda Rebels as “Legitimate Representatives” of the Syrian People - Who Prefer Assad
The NWO hails the motto: “Order out of Chaos”. Nevertheless its military arms, the US and NATO, are creating chaos arund the world – planning intervention soon in Syria. The following is apparently totally illogical. The West knows that ousting Al Assad means chaos in Syria or the Sharia – and confrontation with Russia. Nevertheless, the US now recognizes Al Qaeda groups that have killed US soldiers in Iraq as the legitimate representatives of Syria.
The Wall Street Journal 12 Dec. 2012 The U.S. on Tuesday formally recognized Syria’s (unelected. mainly foreign rebel group) as the representatives of the “Syrian” population (although the most Syrians support Al Assad and here), paving the way for more U.S. support in pursuing an end to the rule of President Bashar al-Assad. The announcement by U.S. President Barack Obama in a television interview. And although the EU has not yet formally recognized the Al Qaeda group: “The National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces” it has called it the “Legitimate representative of the Syrian people” : EUbusiness 12 Dec. 2012: Belgium on Wednesday offered to host an office of Syria’s opposition National Coalition in Brussels, headquarters of both the European Union and NATO.The opening of such an office could “logistically facilitate” contacts between opponents of the Assad regime and EU and NATO institutions, the source added.
In March, US Secr. of State Hillary Clinton admitted the Syrian rebels are closely interwoven with Al Qaeda.
The Telegraph 10 Dec. 2012: A total of 29 opposition groups, including fighting “brigades” and civilian committees, have signed a petition calling for mass demonstrations in support of Jabhat al-Nusra, an Islamist group which the White House believes is an offshoot of al-Qaeda in Iraq.
The New York Times 10 Dec. 2012: The presence of rebel fighters in Syria that were trained and supported by Al Qaeda poses a serious problem for the United States and Western allies. The Nusra Front, an offshoot of Al Qaeda in Iraq, has become one of the most effective forces fighting against President Bashar al-Assad. The fear is that the group could hijack the revolution and emerge as the dominant force in Syria after Mr. Assad is ousted from power. Mr. Obama has blacklisted the Nusra Front as a terrorist organization, which would make it illegal for Americans to have financial dealings with it.
American officials have to make a case directly to the countries or actors that are believed to be most responsible, either directly or as a conduit, for the weapons and other assistance to the Nusra Front: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan. They play a deadly game in empowering any affiliate of Al Qaeda, which though weakened, is dedicated to global jihad and the violent overthrow of Sunni monarchies.
The situation in Syria is extremely complicated, and President Obama’s caution in resisting military intervention is the right approach. As we saw in Iraq and Afghanistan, even after committing tens of thousands of troops, America’s ability to affect the course and outcome of armed conflict is decidedly limited.
Talks between American and Russian officials over the weekend gave no sign that Moscow is prepared to abandon Mr. Assad.
CNN 9 Dec. 2012: The US and some of its European allies “are using defense contractors to train Syrian rebels on how to secure chemical weapons stockpiles in Syria,” according to “a senior US official and several senior diplomats,” CNN reports. The US-funded training is going on inside Syria, as well as in neighboring Turkey and Jordan and “involves how to monitor and secure stockpiles and handle weapons sites and materials.”
“The Us has to make a case…” - apparently not with itself but with its allies and proxies in the Syrian war instigated by the US. This is NWO hypocrisy.
